I just wanted to reach out and tell you that I’m really sorry about what you and your girlfriend are going through with her mother. Love is never supposed to be conditional. My girlfriend and I went through a similar thing with my mom and it felt really unfair that she was ashamed of me for being happy and in love. A lot of people are still VERY ignorant, especially in the South. She’ll come around when she stops being afraid. Just keep making her daughter happy and she’ll realize she’s wrong.
